HARK page 2

I’m making the transition from posting these over at my website to the Patreon site, so I’m starting from the beginning here. This gives me a bit of lead time as I’m currently working on page 12 this week. The best case scenario is always to have several pages completed in advance, so I’m not scrambling to get a new page posted every week. So far, no scrambling.

Also, I’m posting higher res versions here, so they should look great even on gigantic screens.

Work-In-Progress video

Here’s a short time-lapse video of an upcoming double-page spread. Finished the rough layouts this morning on the Cintiq, printed in non-photo blue on Bristol board and now it’s pasted up on my drawing board, waiting to be finished. I’ll likely get to that later in the week, and will do what I can to post some additional glimpses into the process.

First post, first page, a morning of firsts.

Here we go! I’m posting the first page from HARK, with more to follow shortly. Bringing this comic book to Patreon has been a long process, from researching the platform to finding the best way to convey what HARK is all about, and what your support means to me. I’ll likely be tweaking things over time, but for now I’m stoked to finally launch the page, and to get back to the process of drawing the comic.

But, first things first. Coffee.

Special Guest at Silverline Sunday Livestream

This was fun. I was invited to join Silverline Comics ‘Silverline Sunday’ livestream, where I dusted off my memories about working at Malibu Comics (with varying degrees of success) as well as my career path after Malibu was purchased and shut down by Marvel. We also chat about traditional and digital comic creation methods and various other shop talk.
