Here’s the latest page of Hark! I’m also sharing a couple of projects that are in development. Like Hark, I’m going to make the work-in-progress exclusively available to patrons. First up is a planned sequel to Saga of a Doomed Universe, tentatively titled The Secret of Power. I just finished a first draft of issue 1 today and I’m pretty pleased with it so far. With that in mind, I’ll likely end up doing significant rewrites once I have each chapter scripted. I honestly have no idea if this project will move beyond the script stage, but with Saga of a Doomed Universe about to hit comic shops in October, I wanted to explore an idea I’ve had for a while and see if it works. So far, it definitely does. Regardless of what happens with it, I’m enjoying revisiting these characters.
The second image is a Micronauts illustration that I finished inking yesterday and scanned into photoshop today. This is based on a convention sketch I draw at C2E2 a few weeks back. I liked the composition of that drawing so much that I was compelled to create a more fully realized version. It’s an unapologetically old school approach, but with super crazy detail. I’ll likely end up selling the original at whatever next convention I attend. Be on the lookout for the final, colored version soon, hopefully sometime next week.
