Digitally restoring this graphic novel is like stepping into a Time Machine to 1998. As I’m faithfully following my own brush strokes from when I was 28 years old, I’m reconnecting with my younger self a bit and recalling what was going in my life during that time. This is definitely not something I expected when I decided to undertake this project, and to be honest it wasn’t exactly the best of times for me, either professionally or personally. Maybe I’ll get into that in a later post, but for now I’m still very stoked to see this book restored to high res. Here’s the next page completed earlier this week, minus the lettering (which is why there are several blank spots in the art).
