I’ve held on to a lot of old art from my Malibu Comics days, mostly in the form of photocopies of the original penciled and inked pages. I don’t think much of this stuff is available online, so I decided a while back to start compiling what I have in my archives and devote part of my Patreon page to a Malibu Comics Archive. Here’s the latest, a few pencil scans and photocopied inks from my work on Hard Case. One of the pencilers is Tim Hamilton, but I don’t have any info on the other, except than it was also from an issue of Hard Case.
If you’re a Malibu Comics fan or just want to understand what a huge impact that publisher had on the comics industry back in the day, there’s a new interview with one of Malibu’s founders, Tom Mason at Buzzsprout.com. Tom seems to be the go-to guy to really tell the full and accurate story about the publisher. It’s a fascinating interview, I hope you’ll check it out.
