This is a new category devoted to high res scans from my archive of art from Malibu Comics. I was an inker on-staff there in 1993-94 and then freelanced for them until they folded a year or so later, so I have a lot of material. Some of this art has never seen the light of day, or has never before been available online in this format or resolution. Apologies in advance for any penciler who isn’t credited in these posts, because I don’t recall all of the artists showcased here and some of the art is either unsigned or I’m unfamiliar with the sometimes cryptic signatures.
First up is what I think might be un unpublished pin-up of the character Mantra, my inks over Jason, one of those artists who I don’t recall or have any details about other than this signature. The second image is the cover of FLUX magazine, which features my inks over Patrick Rolo’s pencils. This cover is crowded with blurbs that make it an amazing time-capsule of 1990’s pop culture.
