This is my inks and colors over Jack Kirby’s pencils of Orion. I believe the penciled art was part of his character style sheets for DC Comics from around 1969. I saw the pencil scan online somewhere back in 2008 and couldn’t resist inking it. This one was inked digitally in Adobe Illustrator and colored in photoshop.
This Superman page was part of a private commission back in 2004 or so. I kept high res scans of the pencils and inks, and did a bit of photoshop magic to join the two. The color version is a scan of a photo copy, unfortunately I no longer have the digital file.
Like all the others I’m previewing, the black and white art will be printed on 2-ply Bristol board at 11″x17″, mimicking the look and feel of an original comic art page.
