My old friend and colleague Patrick Owsley, artist at Hanna Barbera, Dreamworks, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Disney and so many others, recently posted his inked Ren & Stimpy illustration (pencils by David Sheldon) on Facebook and asked if anyone was interested in coloring. I was and so I did. If you’re a fan of this now classic cartoon series like I am, then I hope you’ll enjoy my attempt to follow in the footsteps of Spumco’s unique painterly style. This was a fun diversion and I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone with this, since I don’t really dabble in this style of art. Back in bad old days of early 1990’s comics, Patrick and I worked in the Malibu Comics art department. His talent was formidable then and even more so now.
